Today, the Sevalaya community consists of 149 children (69 boys and 80 girls aged four through nineteen) that are under the care of the children's home, 276 children from neighboring villages that study at the Mahakavi Bharathiyar High School, 7 resident wardens, 1 resident nurse, 15 teachers, 5 non-teaching staff, 3 volunteers, 1 visiting doctor, the board of trustees, the advisory committee members and numerous well-wishers & sponsors from all over the world such as yourself!

The campus is self-sufficient in many ways - we grow our vegetables, tend to the cows at the goshala, take care of the environment around us and ofcourse we have lots of fun playing games. The children produce a magazine in Tamil called Vidiyal. Currently, only a single-copy of this magazine is published as the entire magazine is handcrafted
